If you have a passion for the kind of work that UT does, enjoy the company of like-minded people, and wish to serve others in a voluntary capacity, then perhaps you might like to get involved.

Members of UT have a wide range of experience in a variety of different areas.

Some own and supply equipment, others operate it; technical coordinators organise and oversee an entire event, and stage managers take care of all things related to the stage. Others are consultants, giving advice to organisations regarding their technical requirements. At all times there are people in training to do all of the above. And then there are those who just like to hang around and do whatever needs doing that doesn't require technical knowledge or organisational capabilities.

There are a number of different roles to be filled and if you are interested in getting involved in any of them then contact us. On-the-job training will be provided if necessary in addition to specific training sessions organised throughout the year.

Please have a look at our Constitution and By-laws, then complete a Membership Form and post it or email it to us.

A Code of Ethics has also been developed to acknowledge the two way relationship and responsibilities between UT and its members. This can be completed at the same time as your membership application or forwarded once your membership has been approved.
